CONNECT
One of the biggest misunderstandings of church is that a church is a place we go or a building we walk into. That is not, however, what Jesus meant by the term “church.” The word in Bible simply means "people together." Humans do not do well alone. We crave the warmth of knowing others and being known. We want to be loved and accepted and cared for. We want to belong. We were created as relational beings. God's dream is for humans to live intimately connected to Him and others. That is where the church comes in.
Home Churches
The heart of Hope Chapel beats in our small groups. These small groups meet throughout the week in homes. Rather than the daunting task of getting to know a large crowd on Sunday mornings, these groups offer the opportunity for connection, fellowship, and long-term relationship building. The emphasis is on together - loving together, learning together, praying together, and serving together.
Young Adult Home Church
This special home church on Tuesday nights gathers young adults to explore their relationship with Jesus and His calling on their lives.
Seasoned Adults Home Church
This special home church helps those who have crossed the “50 mile marker” face the physical, emotional, and spiritual challenges of this new chapter of life.
Youth Small Groups
Small groups of Jr. & Sr. High students meet throughout the year to further develop their relationships with God and one another. These groups allow teenagers to discuss in more depth what is taught in the large group environment, and pray and share together with others of their own age and gender. These small groups also get together outside of the church for various activities and parties, usually as dictated by the needs and interests of the students themselves. Each team is led and coordinated by one or more of the adult volunteers that work every week with the students.
Men’s Breakfast
Gathering around food proves to be a great way to connect men from all different walks of like. Throw in a speaker, some spirited conversation, and a dash of honest sharing and our men’s breakfast reminds men they aren’t alone.
Men’s Softball
For the men who thrive on competitive sports we go beyond the couch and onto the field. Our men’s softball team plays a 20 game schedule on weekday nights April through June. The team makes an intentional effort to connect with each other and encourage each other spiritually.
Ladies’ Events
Throughout the year "Sisters By Grace" ministry offers different activities providing women an opportunity to connect and grow deeper in their walk with God. The highlight of the year is the Women's Retreat where women can get away from their busy lives and focus on God and learning from each other.
Family Fun Nights
In our busy schedules, it is often difficult to find time to gather together with our family to spend some time together. Family fun nights are held approximately every other month, and are geared for parents and their children (of any age). They are designed to be a variety of activities, inside and outside the church, to allow families to have fun together and get to know other families of similar interests at the same time. Past events have included hayrides, miniature golf, games nights, softball and many more.
Church Picnic
Our church picnic is a great time for the entire family. Fun and games, music and food. Whether its football in the rain or softball with everyone, we're bound to rope in some new competition.
Church Banquet
Our church banquet offers great opportunity for new people to meet people and for the entire church to celebrate. Dynamic music, fun games, good food and inspirational testimonies often provide for a full night.
